Upload Request

You can use this field to configure various upload request options such as the default recipient, shared link expiration, and target folder. There are two aspects to the Upload Request:

  1. Ability to invite user(s) to provide files through an upload request.
Be default, this feature is disabled and you must activate it. For more information on configuring the Upload Request, see Configuring the Upload Request.

  2. Ability to have any user initiate an upload request using a URL.
You must select a folder and a default recipient. For more information, see Default Recipient.

On the Company Profile tab, select Edit next to Settings at the bottom to access Upload Request. The configurable fields are:

Link Expiration

Use the Enable Link Expiration check box to set a time before the shared link expires. By default, the expiration time is set to one day.

Target Folder

Use this feature to choose or change the Upload Request folder. For more information, see Configuring the Upload Request.

Default Recipient

This field is used to provide the email address of the iManage Share user who is the default recipient of the upload request notifications. After the Target Folder and the Default Recipient are set, a URL is displayed that can then be posted on a company website.

NOTE:

If the email address of the Default Recipient does not match any of the Company User email addresses, the Upload Request URL is not displayed.

If the Enforce all URL Upload Requests to this Default Recipient check box is selected, only the Default Recipient receives the upload requests.

Upload Request URL

The user can use the Upload Request URL to share an upload link request. When the user opens the URL in a web browser, the Request Upload Link screen is displayed.

The user can use this screen to provide the email address of an external user, who then receives an Upload Request from (Company Name) email. When the external user selects Complete Upload Request, a screen to upload the files is displayed.
