Basic Search Tips
With dedicated Search bar at the top of the screen, you can search and retrieve any document and folder. You can also use some words from the content or the tags to search a document. For more information, see Enhanced Search.
You can use one of the following search methods to retrieve your documents and folders on iManage Share:
To search a document that has a number in it, use " (double quotes) on both sides of the number.
For example, type "7" into the search field instead of 7.Small numbers such as 1234 are usually retrieved in a search, but large numbers such as 123456789 cannot be retrieved.
Use * (asterisk) to find a term within a document name.
For example, to find a document with the name documentNameABCD.doc, you can type *abcd or *document or *name into the search field. If you do not use an * in this case, iManage Share cannot find any documents that match your search string.Terms within a document name are found in a search if the they are separated by special characters or spaces.
For example, if the document name is document_Name_ABCD.doc or document Name ABCD.doc, you can type document or name or abcd into the Search field without *, and iManage Share retrieves these documents.
